Every night I had the feeling that someone was in my house, so I installed a camera in my room. When I looked at the recordings in the morning, I was terrified.

In the morning, I sat down to watch the recording. What I saw on the screen shocked me deeply.  😲😱At first—nothing. I was asleep, lying still. But then… I saw myself slowly getting up in the middle of the night. I sat on the edge of the bed. I stood up.

The camera captured every movement – calmly, deliberately. I walked around the room, opened the wardrobe, took things out, and threw them onto the bed and the floor.

I picked up the phone, looked at it, and put it away. As I was leaving, I tripped over a chair, which fell over. Then I went back to bed and lay down again as if nothing had happened.

I stared at the screen, unable to breathe. Nobody else was in the house. Just me.

I remembered nothing. No footsteps, no movements, no traces. All those nights, all the fear, all the sounds – that was me. My sleepwalking. My second, nocturnal self, of which I knew nothing.

And the worst part wasn’t that someone was wandering around my house. The worst part was realizing that this « something » had been me all along – and that I now faced a long course of treatment.
