How do you remove the dark rings around the taps?

You may have noticed a dark, round stain around the sink faucet that is difficult to remove and gives the sink an old, dirty appearance.

The cause of these stains is limescale, which is deposited by water and on which soap residue and dirt accumulate, eventually creating those annoying black rings. 

The effect is really ugly and sometimes it can be difficult to remove the stain with ordinary cleaning products.

If you want to avoid using bleach (a wise choice!), we have a number of effective tricks to remove dark stains around faucets naturally, without endangering your health.

The cloth trick. This method, the simplest and fastest, involves wiping the stain with a cloth soaked in vinegar. Vinegar is a natural disinfectant that removes the yellow or black stain while simultaneously thoroughly polishing and disinfecting. If the stain does not disappear, apply vinegar directly to the stain and wipe it off with the cloth after about 30 minutes.
